Conference Invitation from the Rejoin EU Party
The Rejoin EU Party (therejoineuparty.com) plans to hold a conference on 22nd March from 10 am-4 pm in a central London location to be announced shortly.
The theme of the event will be how the UK can swiftly return to the EU, which we believe is essential to generate economic growth, restore the UK's global political influence and rectify the many problems that Brexit has caused for consumers and businesses.
The Rejoin EU Party believes the most effective way of promoting the UK's EU return is by electoral activism. The main parties will only change their present complacent indifference on the European issue if they come to be convinced there are votes to be won and lost by being on the right or wrong side of the European argument. We exist to offer voters, more and more disillusioned with Brexit in the coming months and years, an opportunity to show their dissatisfaction at the ballot box. In particular, we believe Parliamentary by-elections will give voters from all parties and none an opportunity to put pressure on the big political parties in the UK to move rapidly back towards the EU. In this Parliamentary session, we will build on the experience gained in fighting many previous by-elections, the London Mayoral Election and the General Election.
We hope on March 22nd to have a mix of speakers from the Rejoin EU Party and outside speakers from the pro-EU and business communities such as Liz Webster of Save British Farming, Mike Galsworthy of the European Movement and others.
We see the conference as an opportunity not just to publicise our activities as a political party, but also to learn from our guests the various ways in which Brexit has negatively affected them. This will enable us to sharpen and reinforce our political messaging. We hope to learn as much from you as you learn from us.
